As this cover was mailed from Key West to Martha's Vineyard, it is an exceptional and exceedingly rare island-to-island usage.

"X", with well struck red "Farmington Iowa Apr 23" c.d.s., on 1850 folded letter to Naperville, stamp has pre-application crease at lower right and tiny tear at bottom, contemporary docketing at right just crosses sheet margin of stamp additionally tying it to the cover, Very Fine usage.
